Chihiro Honda

Chihiro Honda

Chihiro Honda is an artist who works primarily with metal to create sculptural and installation-based works. Through observation of everyday scenes and the relationships between objects and space, she forms works that attend to subtle shifts in perception. Drawing from her personal experience of having titanium implanted in her spine, Honda treats metal as a mediator between the inside and outside of the body, and as a material that engages with the boundary between the self and the world.
