2023, Tokyo
This work is a piece of language art that uses two electronic billboards placed in each window, showing and then disappearing, combining words at random, such as time (the day something historically significant happened in the area where the exhibition is being held) and place (the names of roads, hills and bridges in the area where the exhibition is being held). This work is a work of words that addresses the fundamental question of “here and now”, as well as a secret game that plays with the reverse of that. The words that are created spin out countless meanings. It is a guidance by the power that words evoke, and it is neither beginning nor end, correct or incorrect, and it seems to create a hollow that echoes, like a stratum of time.
